Hamida Yousufi, daughter of Haji Muhammad Yousof, was born in 1983 in Argandab
district, Kandahar province. She is married and has one son. She is interested
in reading. Her first language is Pashto and she speaks English, Dari, Urdu and
Arabic as well.

Yousufi
completed her primary education at Bilal High School and her secondary
education at Noor High School in Quetta, Pakistan, in 2001. She then studied
medicine for two years at the Makah Mukaramah Hospital and Medical College in
Quetta.

occupation: She
worked as a supervisor for the Joint Electoral Management Board (JEMB) in
Kandahar from 2003 to 2004 and as a district field coordinator in 2005. She was
a customer service representative at Azizi Bank’s Kandahar branch from 2006 to
2007. From 2008-2009, she worked as a grant officer at the International Relief
& Development (IRD) office in Kandahar and from 2009-2010 she worked with
IRD’s Afghanistan Vouchers for Increased Production in Agriculture (AVIPA)
program as a grant officer.
