Personal Background: Haji Haidar Jan Naiemzai is the son of Haji Mohammad Naeem Kochi, a famous Mujahideen commander and advisor to Sebghatullah Mujadedi. He is married to two wives and has six daughters and one son. His interests include reading. Naiemzai speaks Pashto and also Dari and a little Urdu.

Education: Naiemzai graduated with a twelfth class certificate from Bebi Amnia High School in Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2006.

Previous occupation: Before coming to parliament in 2005, Naiemzai was the head of distribution of National ID cards in the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
