Dr. Fatima Aziz, daughter of Abdul Aziz, was born in 1972 in Kunduz city. Aziz
is married and has two daughters and two sons. She is interested in reading.
Her first language is Dari and she also speaks Pashto, English and Urdu.
Education: Aziz completed her
secondary education at Naswan High School in Kunduz in 1987. She earned her
bachelor’s degree in medicine from Kabul Medical University in 1993.
Previous
occupation: After
receiving her degree, she began working as a doctor in Wazir Akbar Khan and Malalai
hospitals in Kabul, as well as in the provincial hospital of Kunduz. She also
worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for one
year.

Parliament: Aziz
was elected to parliament in 2005 with 4,725 votes. She was Deputy Chair of the
Transport, Telecommunications, Urban and Housing Affairs, Water and Power
Supply and Municipal Affairs commission during this term.
