Various issues were discussed in today’s commissions

The commission on Defensive Affairs and Territorial Integrity was held under the chairmanship of Shaista Baz Naseri early afternoon Sunday.

Initially, the house chairman, administrative board and the entire commissions’ chairmen meeting report with President Muahmamd Ashraf Ghani was presented by Shaista Baz Naseri here in the session.

In accordance to agenda, the extradition convention, legal and judicial and commercial cooperation agreements between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and India were discussed in today’s session.

In recent, discussion took place in relation to the received letters and petitions.

The commission on International Affairs presided by Mrs. Shaista Baz Naseri early afternoon Sunday.

In accordance to agenda, comprehensive discussion took place in relation to adjustment in  part (A ,B) article fifth of the SAARC development fund charter), in result decision was made for presenting of views it should be send to the sanding commissions of Wolesi Jirga.

In the sideline of the session, parliamentary lawmakers discussed in relation to the closed Afghan-Turk schools in the country and asserted that existence of such schools are in the favor of the country, MPs urged for solution of aforementioned challenge urgent measures should pick up.

Overall in today’s session, discussion took place in relation to Afghan students’ educational burses problems, in result decision was made that the Kabul University’s deputy head of students affairs  including head of burses and other in-charges  of burses in ministry of higher education should be attend in next session to brief information for MPs questions.

Likewise, parliamentary lawmakers discussed in relation to the trilateral summit between Afghan-Pak and England security council advisers, MPs assured that the Wolesi Jirga International commission should be aware from whatever was discussed in mentioned summit, in result decision was made that deputy security council advisor should be attend in next session to present information in this regard.

The commission on financial and budget, general accounts and banks affairs was held under the chairmanship of Amir Khan with the participation of financial and administrative deputy for ministry of foreign affairs including head of consulate and procurements of mentioned ministry, head of licenses for ministry of commerce and industries and chief exemption of gas and petroleum for ministry of finance ministry.

In the outset of the session, Amir Khan Yar asserted that the financial and budget commission has evaluated the ministry of foreign affairs consulate department contract document also decision has been made in this regard that ministry of foreign affairs may accomplish in this regard, but, signing of contract with private company is opposite with the law of procurements, so the ministry of foreign affairs can not deliver the contract for the private companies.

Overall in today’s session deputy minister of foreign affairs presented information in relation to the aforementioned issue.

Likewise in the sideline of today’s session, head of licenses for ministry of commerce and industries including head of exemption of gas and petroleum for ministry of finance presented information in relation to the exemption of petroleum to the private companies and issuing licenses, in result decision was made that minister of finance including in-charges of exemption of petroleum and minister commerce and industries including head of licenses of mentioned ministry should  be attend in next session.

In the Commission on Natural Resources and Environment held by Abdul Rahman Sheidine. The main discussion points were the judicial cooperation agreement between Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Republic of India, and felony retraction agreement between Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Republic of India.

After, the session commented on felony retraction agreement, the agreement was confirmed.   

Then, the session had a wide discussion about the judicial cooperation agreement between Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Republic of India in relevant to civil and commercial issues regarding communication, judicial documents, commissions, and performance orders. 

Finally, the session confirmed the agreement and submitted to the house special commission for further performance.
