The House of People
President Accompanied by the House Members Attend Collective Security
Organization and Commonwealth of Nations Summits at Saint Petersburg-
Russia
The House of People President, Abdul Rauof Ebrahimi, said
that they attended the summits of Collective Security Organization and Commonwealth
of Nations.
Mr. Ebrahimi said that Afghan parliament is the member of
Commonwealth of Nations as a observer and the parliament always sent its
delegation to that organizations’ summits.
The summit had discussion about fighting terrorism and drug and the
organization commission delivered requirements reports regarding the issues. It
was said that Afghanistan is one of the producing of drugs.
Mr. Ebrahimi said that drug is not the only problem of
Afghanistan, but it is an international problem which Afghanistan is also the victim
of this phenomenon.
The house of
people stressed terrorism and drug are two phenomena which created enormous
challenges for Afghanistan and experienced heavy causalities, and Afghan people
suffering a lot.
The Afghan delegation suggested at the Conference to
establish a joined commission from Collective Security Organization to have a
deep scrutinize of drug and terrorism. In addition, it was brought up at both
meetings for fighting terrorism and drug Afghanistan defense forces should be
strengthen.
The Afghan delegation attended Commonwealth of Nations
meetings and the house president delivered the Afghan parliament’s 25th reports and then discussed about the
culture, and historical antiquities. He said that both drug and terrorism have
been a big challenges and a threat for historical antiquities in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s many historical antiquities were destroyed during the Taliban
regime.
The house president, Mr. Ebrahimi, said that Afghanistan
has victimized of terrorism, and the regional Countries concerned about extending
terrorism and Daesh. Therefore, the house of people attended the conference,
and had enormous achievements.
In addition, a
treaty between the Afghan house of people and the Russia State Duma was signed
related to sharing parliamentary experience between the Countries.
