Rahmani Returns Home after Attending at Russia's Lower House of Parliament
The Lower House of Parliament chairman Mir Rahman Rahmani returned
home on Friday after attending at the Russia’s
Lower House of Parliament (Duma).
The house chairman was accompanying by parliamentary delegations
in this trip.
Rahmani met with chairman and members of Russia’s Lower House including
chairman of Upper House, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Commerce and a few governmental officials.
Afghan parliamentary delegations in a meeting with the different
committee’s members of the Lower House of Russia exchanged views and discussion
took place in relation to parliamentary experiences and strengthening of ties
among the two countries’ parliament.
Overall in the meeting, Afghan delegations asked Russia’s
government to pave the ground of further scholarships to Afghan students.
Likewise,
Afghan parliamentary delegations met with the Russian parliamentary committee of
counter corruption, both sides presented necessary advises in the course of
struggle against corruption, also the Russian government assured to Afghan
parliamentary delegations for continuation and strengthening of cooperation in
the field of agriculture.
In the sideline of the trip, chairman and parliamentary delegations of
Afghanistan met with the commerce minister of Russia, both sides underlined for
strengthening of commercial ties and investment among the two countries
meanwhile commercial agreement was signed.
At the
meantime, chairman and Afghan parliamentary delegations met with the foreign
minister of Russia, both sides discussed in relation to current condition of
Afghanistan and Russia’s role in the Afghanistan’s domestic changes.
Based
on Russia’s important role in the region, Afghan parliamentary delegations asked
foreign minister of Russia to pick up effective step in the course of peace
talks in Afghanistan.
The
Wolesi Jirga (Lower House of Parliament) chairman asked Russia’s foreign
minister to work in Afghanistan for ensuring of peace and stability.
Overall,
Afghan parliamentary delegations reiterated that the region stability is depend
to Afghanistan’s stability and Russia’s role is so important with world
community for termination of violence in Afghanistan and region
Furthermore,
the Russia’s parliament and government assured comprehensive cooperation for Afghanistan
and they underlined that bilateral ties is necessary among the two countries.
