nominee ministers obtained Wolesi Jirga’s votes of confidence
The ten nominee for the Ministries of
Foreign Affairs, Finance, Justice, National Defense, Interior Affairs, Higher
Education, Communication, Information and Technology, Labor and Social Affairs,
Haj and Religious Affairs including Commerce and Industry obtained the Wolesi
Jirga’s votes of confidence.

The session was held under the chairmanship
of Mir Rahman Rahmani, while MPs selected three legislators Obaidullah
Kalimzai, Muhammad Nasim Modaber and Shirin Mohseni in order to transparency
and audit from voting process.
Polls started on Saturday plenary session
and 246 members were present in the session and each nominee ministers needed
to obtain 124 votes.

Muhammad Hanif Atmar, by obtaining of 197
confidence votes was elected as Minister of Foreign Affairs, 16 votes were
found invalid, 9 empty votes and 24 reject votes.
At the meantime, Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal by achieving
of 205 confidence votes was elected as Minister of Finance, 32 votes were found
reject and 9 invalid votes.
Asadullah
Khalid by wining of 206 confidence votes was elected as Minister of National
Defense, 17 votes were found reject, 15 invalid votes and 8 unmarked votes.

Masoud
Andarabi by getting of 214 confidence votes of Wolesi Jirga was elected as
Minister of Interior Affairs, 25 votes were found cancel and 7 empty votes.
Fazil Ahmad Manawi, by obtaining of 220
confidence votes was elected as Minister of Justice, 9 votes were found reject,
10 invalid votes and 7 empty votes.
Masoma Khawari by wining of 154 confidence
votes was elected as Minister of Information and Technology, 67 votes were
found reject and 25 votes unmarked votes.

Abas Basir by achieving of 197 confidence
votes was elected as Minister of Higher Education, 22 votes were found reject,
13 invalid votes and 14 empty votes.
Bashir Ahmad Tayanj was elected as Minister
of Labor and Social Affairs by wining of 190 confidence votes of Wolesi Jirga,
40 votes were found reject and 16 unmarked votes.
Muhammad Qasem Halimi was elected as
Minister of Haj and Religious Affairs by achieving of 148 votes of confidence,
41 votes were found reject, 23 votes invalid and 34 votes unmarked.

Nesar Ahmad Ghoryani was elected as Minister
of Commerce and Industry by wining of 213 votes of confidence, 23 votes were
found reject and 10 unmarked votes.
At the end of the session, Mir Rahman
Rahmani thanked for MPs participation in voting process, added, people representatives
are united and all of them are the symbol of national unity.
