Wolesi Jirga calls first vice president’s resignation
The Lower House of Parliament on Tuesday’s plenary session
called resignation of first vice president Amrullah Saleh.
The session was held under the chairmanship of Mir Rahman
Rahmani and continued by first deputy of Wolesi Jirga Muhammad Mirza Katawazai.

Pointing on the country’s security challenges particular
Ghazni’s security condition, hiring of governors for some provinces, lack of
payment of salaries and privileges to
governmental employees, military and retired, closing of Ghor- Herat highways and problems of displaced families in Ghor and Faryab provinces, MPs emphasized
for government’s serious attention to
displaced families.

Overall in today’s session, assertions of first vice
president Amrullah Saleh at the Geneva conference about existence of corruption
at the Nation House and termination of MPs legal immunity was called contrary
to the country’s constitution, MPs asked administrative board to take clear
stance against the issue.
It was supposed to six nominee ministers present their work
plans, but, due to changing of agenda, administrative board of Wolesi Jirga
prevented nominees’ presence in the session.
In accordance to proposed agenda, MPs reacted against
assertions of first vice president Amrullah Saleh at the Geneva conference about
existence of corruption in the Nation House.

Pointing on the Geneva conference MPs said, the Geneva
conference was held about Afghanistan with the participation of representatives
of 70 countries and 30 international organizations in order to financial commitments of attenders for the next four
years to Afghanistan.
MPs reiterated that the Geneva conference is an important
opportunity for progress and development of Afghanistan, but, Saleh sans
awareness of constitution accused the Nation House to corruption in this
important summit that this act of Saleh caused reduce of the world community
assistance to Afghanistan.

Legislators said, accusation sans evidences and court’s
decree against to people representatives in the Nation House is a national
betrayal, so, Saleh should prove his allegations by presenting of document and evidences,
so, due to maintaining of honor and prestige of the Nation House, first vice
president by presenting of document and evidence should clear the name of those MPs who are involved in
corruption also should apologize from the Nation House.
Criticizing on existence of financial corruption at the
government’s apparatus MPs said, instead of accusing to people representatives,
government should inspect and probe the financial corruption in combatting
corona virus, national table, distributing of dray bread during the lockdowns
days and procurement.

In
accordance to articles 101 of constitution, MPs have legal immunity during
delivering of speech in their duty; they are not prosecuted, but, prosecuted in
crimes.
Pointing
on Saleh’s accusations to Nation House in corruption, Rahman strongly condemned
that, adding, the green trend leading by Amrullah Saleh is an intelligence
trend by supporting of one of the foreign countries and the aim is harming of
coordination among the three branches, said Rahmani.
Overall in today’s session, a declaration was issued by
Wolesi Jirga against assertions of first vice president and MPs urged that
Saleh should be introduced to attorney general’s office.
