Rahmani: Government should ensure journalist’s
security and provide necessary facilities to them
The
Lower House of Parliament chairman, Mir Rahman Rahmani and Secretary General of
Wolesi Jirga, Abdul Qader Zazai Watandost on the occasion of celebration of
Journalist’s National Day here in National Assembly said, government should
ensure Journalist’s security and provide necessary facilities to them.
The
Journalists National Day was celebrated
by Directorate of Information and
Radio Television of Wolesi Jirga in order to appreciating from reporters here in Parliament with strong message in
support of freedom of speech in the
course of ensure of security and providing of facilities to Journalists.
The House of Representatives Speaker, Mir Rahman Rahmani and
Secretary General of Wolesi Jirga reiterated that freedom of speech is the main
important achievements of government in the last two decades, even they urged
for preserving of these achievements.
At the meantime in today’s
ceremony, the Wolesi Jirga second deputy, Najibullah Naser said, journalists and
their families in Afghanistan have been killed, he hoped for solving of
challenges which Journalists are facing that.
Moreover in today’s ceremony,
the Wolesi Jirga Secretary General Abdul Qader Zazai Watondost
said, the Lower House of Parliament
always have supported freedom of speech and Journalists’ rights, meanwhile have provided information to them in
particular time.
He went on to say, government should provide Journalist’s security
and immunity, and pledged that provides favorable environment for media in
order to access to information.
